It is the season for canning in our home! Peaches are a staple and this year I fretted over finding the wonderful Utah Peaches we have come to love. I got some from Nat and have a couple of boxes coming in next week to bottle as halves. This is one thing I can serve my family that they always love..love..love!
Here is my sweetie helping me prepare corn for freezing. He has been such a help, especially when my knee is acting up some. Here he is using the electric knife to carve the kernels off of the cob. The corn is then put into quart bags and frozen. We got 12 bags out of 6 dozen. Not particularly cost effective but very tasty. I'll save them for Sunday dinners.
